Cookie Policy
Cookie Policy
This policy explains how Scholarly-Ink uses cookies and similar technologies, and how you can control them. For more on how we handle personal information generally, see our Privacy Policy.
2. The categories we use
We group cookies into four categories. You can choose which to allow at any time from the Cookie Preference Centre — either when you first visit the site, or later via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.
Strictly necessary
Required for security, authentication, your shopping cart, and remembering your cookie choices. These cannot be switched off; without them the site doesn't work.
Functional
Remember choices you've made — for example, your preferred language, recently viewed services, or whether you've dismissed a banner.
Analytics
Help us understand how visitors use the site in an aggregated, anonymised form, so we can improve pages, services, and content.
Marketing
If we add advertising or campaign-measurement tools, we'll use this category to support them. Today, we do not use any marketing cookies.
3. Cookies we currently use
| Cookie | Category | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
wordpress_*, wordpress_logged_in_* | Strictly necessary | Authenticated session for logged-in users. | Session / 14 days |
wp-settings-* | Functional | Customises the WordPress admin view for editors. | 1 year |
woocommerce_cart_hash, wp_woocommerce_session_* | Strictly necessary | Keeps your cart and checkout session intact. | Session / 2 days |
si_cookie_consent | Strictly necessary | Records your cookie preferences so we don't ask again on every visit. | 12 months |
si_auth_intent | Strictly necessary | Remembers where you were heading after sign-in. | Session |
si_cart_count_local | Functional | Keeps the cart-badge count in sync between tabs. | Until cleared |
If we add analytics or marketing tools in the future, we'll update this table and ask you to confirm your preferences again.
4. How to control cookies
You can change your cookie preferences at any time from the Cookie settings link in the footer or from the floating cookie icon in the bottom-left corner of every page. You can also manage cookies through your browser settings — though disabling strictly necessary cookies will break parts of the site, including login and checkout.
5. Changes to this policy
If we change which cookies we use or how we use them, we will update this page and the consent version. The next time you visit, we'll ask you to review your choices again.
